How Rating Works.
CS2 will rank players on two things performance and matches. Winning matches will grant a higher rank (symbol) while having great overall performance will boost your rating (number). Rating starts from 0 and goes up to 35000 with all ratings represented as a different colors.
How to get your rating
To get rated in CS2 players must play a minimum of ten CS2 placement matches. Each match the game will rank your performance (KDA, Wins and Losses) and the outcome of the matches will determine your initial rating.
How to increase your CS2 rating.
Increasing your CS2 rating is quite simple. Preforming well and winning matches will earn you more rating points. However it’s easier said than done as premier mode is more difficult than standard competitive mode.
Getting Your First Rank
To begin ranking in CS2 you are required to be level 2 to queue for competitive. Once you are level 2 winning 10 games of matchmaking will assign you a CS2 rank however before 10 wins is reached you will be marked as unranked.
How to increase CS2 Rank
Ranking up in CS:GO is simple to put it plainly the more games you win the faster you’ll rank up. However you can influence the speed in which you rank up.
- Teammates rank: Lower your teamates rank the more elo earned from a win.
- Opponents rank: Higher your opponents rank the more elo earned from a win.
- The number of times you are named MVP.
- You’ll gain more elo by beating a team more 16-1 than less 16-14.
